BIA 101 - the pioneer
The BIA 101 is the forerunner of all the commercially available bioelectrical impedance analysers. Many devices after more than two decades are still operating spotlessly, showing direct readouts of resistance and reactance from a 50 kHz alternating sine current, injected constantly at 800 micro ampere RMS intensity, and with the plus that the shown figures are quality controlled by unique microprocessor based feedback. The physiological data analysis yield reliable three compartment model body composition estimates and fluid and hydration diagnosis.
